If you are planning on taking your camera underwater, then you must select a waterproof camera. Weatherproof cameras are suitable choices for those who expect the camera to be occasionally exposed to the natural elements, but these cameras are not designed to be held underwater for any length of time. If you will be using your camera underwater, while boating, or fishing then choose digital cameras for the best results.
